CROCK-POT BANANA FRENCH TOAST

Impress your family with this breakfast delight…and if they’re not impressed, disown them and move out of town.


Crocktober 1022

1 French baguette (day old - kinda hard and dry'ish is the best) cut into 1-inch slices. Don’t cut your finger!

4 oz cream cheese - room temp - sit on it if you have to

4 bananas - sliced

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans - deez nuts

3 eggs

1/4 cup skim milk - skim, cause we're watching our weight

1/3 cup honey

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon - don't sneeze

Pinch of nutmeg - don't pinch it too hard, it hurts.

1/2 tablespoon pure vanilla extract - fun fact - you can get drunk off this stuff

2 tablespoons butter cut into thin slices

Honey - yes dear?

Spray the inside of the crock with cooking spray

Spread cream cheese on both sides of all bread slices and place slices in a single layer on the bottom of the crock

Put banana slices over the bread slices then sprinkle with brown sugar and deez nuts

Arrange butter slices over the top and set aside

In a mixing bowl, lightly beat eggs using a whisk or egg beaters. Lightly I said. Don't be too rough

Add milk, honey, cinnamon , nutmeg and vanilla extract; whisk the bejesus out of it

Pour egg mixture over bread

Cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours

Slap some on a plate and drizzle honey all up in dat! Watch out for bears and bees!
