CROCK-POT BEER CHICKEN

Light on ingredients but BIG on flavor!  Talk about an easy recipe that even dad can handle – just don’t let him drink all the beer! It's Crock-Pot Beer Chicken!

Crocktober 2017

Ingredients:

4 lb’ish whole chicken – don’t get one that's too big for your crock!  You want to still be able to put your lid on tight so it cooks properly.

1/4 cup of your favorite barbecue seasoning – I enjoy the McCormick Grill Mates Barbecue Seasoning

1 can of BEER! Mmmmmm Beer.

Instructions:

Hose down your crock-pot with cooking spray – trust me on this, it makes clean up so much easier.

Pull the skin of the chicken back and generously rub the bejesus out of your chicken with the barbecue seasoning.  This part is kinda gross.

Push the skin back over the chicken and put seasoning on top as well. It's like a flesh jacket.

Put the chicken in your crock and pour the beer in.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

Done. Simple, right?

Serve with mashed potatoes, or steamed veggies or a can of baked beans. Delish.
